Do you really have to buy website traffic, or can you get it for free. How do I go about figuring this out.
You see the vast majority of people I see go about web traffic completely the wrong way. In this first in a series of web traffic videos, I am going to show you what the average person is doing wrong, but more importantly I am then going to show you what you need to do to fix the problem.
Anyone can get web traffic to their website if you follow a proven formula. It’s not rocket science, and nor does it have to cost you anything.
As an added bonus you get to hear my suave sophisticated aussie accent (yes that was a joke).
What a dynamic combination. I’ve even tried my best to slow down my speaking so that… Shock horror you may actually understand it. But no guarantees. I am a geek and it’s a condition of entering the geek “brotherhood” that you talk fast. I’ve been trying to leave the brotherhood for some time now, to no avail, but I will keep on trying.

Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it's easier said than done.

2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important — and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Directories can take a long time before your entry is found by the search engines and the link improves your rankings - although many directories are such low quality that they may not give you much of an increase. I wouldn't rely on directories for lots of organic traffic anyway.
You can get quicker results by writing some articles about some of your products, or hints and tips etc and submitting then to some good article directories like ezinearticles, goarticles etc. Remember to check your keywords and use them as anchor text to link back to your site.

Social Networking - Facebook and MySpace are very popular and could bring you a lot more traffic. Set up accounts on each, join some groups related to your site and participate in them, send friend requests out to others with sites related to yours. And then there's also Twitter. Set up an account and start following people who's sites relate to yours. There is an inexpensive course/guide you can get that shows you how to get lots of traffic using twitter. Make sure that you don't promote too much on Twitter though (read the rules!). There are so many different things you can do with Twitter that can really bring you a lot of traffic, which is why a course/guide is best to show you exactly what to do.
