Increasing search engine traffic is a loaded and complicated questions.
There are paid ways to do so and free ways to do so.
If you want to start with free methods for increasing your search engine ranking here are some suggestions:

1. Get a free Google Analytics account. This is a very powerful tool and tracks your visitors, helps you with key words, gives you code to add to your site so Google can best index it according to their guidelines.

2. Use Backlinking strategies. This takes time - a lot of time - but is very effective. What you so simply is post as many places as you can and when you do so, include a link to your website. The more links TO your site the more popular search engines think your site is, thus more relevant and your ranking goes up.

3. There are lots of free software tools online for making your site search engine friendly. We offer a number of them that we review then recommend free to our members, you can also do a Google search for others.

That’s a start, unless you plan to pay for ranking or sponsored searches getting higher ranking takes a lot of time and efffort. In January Google is releasing a new search algorithm, so that will upset the apple cart again for a few people.

Good luck to you.

Blog. Blog. Blog.
Use good keywords.
Interlink keywords with pertinent pages and blog posts.

I tried a simple method that’s free and works with Google tools.

You’ll need a Gmail account and use Google Alerts and a free blog that you can get at Blogger.com

I learned these simple web traffic generating tricks using:

http://the-google-traffic-pump-system.com/

My golf site went from roughly 120 to 340 visitors a day! So I can honestly say it works.

Best of luck,

Perry

If I’d like to increase my blog or website traffic quickly, what’s is the best way to do it?

Depends on your site and your budget.

If Google loves it, Adwords is pretty fast. If they don’t, use Yahoo’s equivalent.
Both cost money. Check out your competitors and model your ads after theirs with your own twist. Keyword Spy is a good tool for seeing what keywords they are bidding on and how much they are paying. There is a free version.

If you like the pain of walking on broken glass, starting writing and submitting articles;) Just kidding. Make sure you know your keywords. Article marketing is keyword based. Wrong keywords = no traffic.

If you have a blog, bookmark new posts with Traffic-Bug.com. They use multiple IP addresses, different accounts, etc. so you don’t get banned.

For my blogs, I use a plug in for RSS aggregators. It sends my RSS feeds out so other websites can pick them up. Great for back-links.

Google has improved their tools big time. I’ve been using them together. Wonderwheel is a cool way to see how visitors got to my keyword while searching online. I also find the most expensive and most competitive keywords in my niche. Some are paying $9 per click. Do you think $9 per click traffic converts? Oh yeah. I let Google tell me where the traffic is coming from, they send it right to my email inbox. Then I go steal the traffic. Sweet. It’s also free. It only takes Google 15 minutes to find it for me. Beats hours writing articles and it is very targeted based on questions I tell Google to look for. A "must" for 2010.

Best wishes,

Jeff

I don’t know the nature of the service or product that you offer so honestly I couldn’t give good idea on how to advertise your website. I guess each case is unique in its own way.

I’ve answered two questions regarding on how to drive visitors to your website. And I hope you can apply my answers here to your situation:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the fastest way to drive traffic to your blog/website for free.

Online marketing plays a vital role hand in hand with SEO. It increases product awareness brings traffic, and basically gets your product heard about. The key to online marketing is how the targeted audience perceives your website.

Compared to offline marketing, radio, tv and print. Internet marketing is growing increasingly fast. It’s also gaining popularity among businesses and even users who are trying to monetize their blog or website.

Hope this help :)

Should I use a Pay Per Click (ppc) campaign, Search Engine Marketing Or Search Engine Optimization?

Seriously, if you only take one piece of advice from this, make sure it’s this one.

If you are NOT an Expert in PPC then DO NOT DO IT. You will loose your shirt for no results. If you need PPC then there are plenty of ‘experts’ online who can create and run a promotion campaign for you. You can then specify your costs and results and know your budget. I speak not only from personal experience but from all the good information you will find. Newbies to PPC just profit Google.

You don’t say what your website is which is a shame because you could get get much better advice if we knew what it was exactly.

Depending on profitability of your site/product will decide what you need to do. If youn want to use any kind of paid tarffic generation then the first thing you need to assess is your ROI (return on investment). I.e you need to pay less for your advertising than you make in profit. Sounds simple but trust me this is where most people fail and end up seriously out of pocket.

If you have a low profit margin then SEO (natural search) traffic may be your only option. Yes it takes a bit longer to get your traffic but when done properly it doesn’t take that long and it can be sustainable for years.

If you want to geenrate some free quick traffic then there is a great ebook on using the latest web 2.0 techniques ( latest buz stuff) which you can use to generate highly targeted traffic. Targeted traffic is the key, along with commercial intent.

Fact is no-one just bangs up a website, no matter how pretty, and makes money. You’ve made the first step but now you need to do a bit of work on perfecting it to make it profitable. That’s down to driving traffic to your site, testing to ensure targeted traffic with buying intent, improve conversion rate’s (visitors to buyers ratio)

Seriously grab the ebook I mentioned at http://www.trafficfury2010.com it has loads of info that will work well with any site and it’s free.

best of luck

How to get free traffic to my website?

Posted by: admin   in free website traffic

How to use free exchange traffice program?

If you hope to get a load of returning visitors, you have to have content that poeple like and tell their friends about, and keep updating it with new things that make people want to keep going to it, and it’s gotta look good.
The better looking, the more people want to be affiliated with it. Also, make friends, and share links. Join web rings, give the links to your friends who are interested, and an interactive element like a message board, or such, will (if handled correctly) keep people coming back.

1. Link to other pages, and have them link to you.
2 Use relevant META tags for keywords and description
3. Submit the site to: = Cool Site of the Day = http://www.coolsiteoftheday.com
……………. Add your URL to google = http://www.google.com/addurl.html + http://www.burgettsys.com/stories/60948
4. Announce your website in many online forums.
5. Register your url with google and as many other search engines as possible.
6. Update your site often to have repeat visistors.
7. Add your url in your email signature.
8. Do a search on google, then at the bottom of the page is "Disatisfied with results? Help us improve" link. Just fill out the info. and the spiders will go to your site.
9. Add your url to https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit and to your business cards and pass them out.

10. Put a link in your signatues so that every email/post you make will be seen by search engine bots and taken into account. Be sure that it’s properly labeled "+18 Warning" if the link goes to adult material.
