Free or cheap, what’s the fastest way to get lots of website traffic?

Free: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) mixed with related theme-based Page Rank backlinks from .edu or .gov sites.

Cheap: Create a Google Adwords account, and do some research using their free keyword tool to identify long tail keyword phrase related to your website pages that have a low (0.05 - 0.10) cost per click (CPC). Bid on these keyword phrase, to obtain one of the fastest ways to get relevant traffic to your site.

I’d say if you comfortable with SEO go with free, if you’re not as comfortable go with cheap.

I have recently set up my own online dating website invitemeforcoffee.co.uk which to be fair is doing ok with over 2000 hits since it went live on the 23rd December 2009, but I want to increase traffic as much as possible for free and im looking for the best tips on doing this.

Increasing traffic will cost money. It’s called advertising. No one will give that away free, unless it’s worth nothing to start with.

How can I get traffic for free or working on other sites

Traffic attraction to a blog or website is not so easy. You have to do SEO works continuously. For this U can do several things

I am not even going to touch the idea of someone that is running a website that teaches others how to improve their site ranking etc coming here to ask this particular question.

I do have one piece of advice though, you may want to fix all the broken links and misspellings before you start trying to drive people to your site. No sense getting people to your site if it does not work or look professional.
