How to improve my website traffic?

Posted by: admin   in traffic to website

I have a website thats a little over a month old. At first the traffic was steadily increasing. Now I’m hardly getting any hits at all. I’ve tried submitting articles, sighned up to directories and search engines, put videos on youtube and have participated in places such as blogcatalog. Those that have seen my site and blog really liked it yet still I’m hardly getting any traffic? What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it ?

Wow! You’ve been busy!

You are definitely on the right track. Submitting articles, signing up for key directories and search engines, posting videos on YouTube and participating in blogging and social media are all great activities for increasing your traffic.

First of all, it’s important to understand that these strategies take some time. What you’re doing is building inbound links, which work because, when search engines find all these links to your site, they figure you must be important and rank you higher than other sites. When you think of it that way, it’s obvious that there’s going to be lag time between your link-building activities and the accompanying increase in traffic.

You should keep all this up and trust the process. Meanwhile, take a look at your content and make sure people won’t be disappointed by what they find. No amount of link building will save a site that is scattered, disorganized or hard to use.

Last, but not least, keep an eye on your web traffic. Oftentimes, you can mine your site stats to figure out what’s working and what isn’t. That should help you refine your strategy going forward.

Keep up the good work, and good luck!

I joined an affiliate program and I need people to see my page so they can join too. Any one with good advice? Website traffic or any other way to promote my program?

1. Video Presentation: One of easiest ways to promote your website is to do a video of what you want to promote with the link your website link. Post your videos on YouTube, Google video or 5min. Posting a video does not cost you anything. They are all FREE on those sites. These websites are very SEO friendly and you could a tonne of traffic getting ranked in the first page of Google. All just because you took the time to do a quick 5minutes video. If you have never done a video before and do not know how to go about it, you can download CamStudio. CamStudio is a screen recording software tool and it is free. If you need to edit and arrange the video you can use window movie make and get the editing done before you upload.

2. Write an Article: Write an article about something you are promoting. Post them on article directories like ezines and GoArticles. In return for adding valuable content, you allowed to add your website link in the resource or bio box at the end of the article. The more articles you write the more links you have to your website. So, it is important to committed at writing articles to article directories (maybe write one article a day ) so you can make the most out of this free marketing method.

3. Submit your Article on Digg: besides article directories, you can expose your article to an online community of Digg addicts looking for something new on Digg.com. Once your article is complete, join digg. com and post your article there.

4. Google Groups: This is both free and drives highly targeted to your website. Join Google groups and find the Google group closest to the what you are promoting or mostly related to your website content. Join the group discussions and where appropriate direct them to their website link.

5. Twitter: Twitter conquered the world in 2009 and it is becoming one of the fastest growing communities. Ignoring Twitter could cost you dearly. Twitter is free to join and once you build thousands of followers, You can easily drive instant traffic by just promoting your website link on your twitter updates

I have an affiliate website that I have spent alot of money on and after 1 year I still only have 100 visitors a day. I blog and social bookmark everyday and have submitted the site to countless directories. I have read that search engines hate affiliate websites, but there are still alot of people that make good money off of them. What else can I do without spending a bunch of money to drive traffic to the site. I have also written articles, tried ppc campaigns( which is costly and I do good to break even on), and blog and social bookmark everyday. Please help me save my site.

Not bad.

How to add my website traffic?

Posted by: admin   in traffic to website

It’s a big problem around me that I have a good jewellery websit www.jewelryonline.me , which is specializing in wholesaling jewelry and jewelry wholesaling online. My jewellry website was built since Oct, 2009, but only several IP surf onto our site each day. This is a so low traffic. Who can teach me to add our website traffic? Thank you for your concerning and assistant.

Joint Ventures

The best and most efficient way of free traffic is setting up a joint venture. A joint venture, somtimes called a JV, is a business relationship between two or more people. For example, Cingular is a joint venture between SBS and Bellsouth. Most people think that a JV is something that they shouldn’t worry about until later on in their business but that could not be more wrong. A JV is something that you and your business will benefit from greatfully.

Most JV’s fail because they were destined to fail form the start.
When you set up a joint venture you want to be very generous with the up-front profits. Don’t forget that the real benifit from a JV is that you will aquire their customers, who will hopefully buy from you again and again. So, to keep your partner motavated, you want to give them the majority of the up front profits.

Another thing you can do to have more success setting up a JV, is to make it very easy for them to do. If you do most of the work then your deal/proposal will be more appealing and they will be more likley to want to work with you.

Social Networking

Another good source of free traffic. You can drive visitors to your site through social networking sites such as
-twitter
-facebook
-youtube
-myspace
-wordpress

There are a couple of things that you need to remember when using social networking sites. First and foremost, no spam at all. You should build a relationship with other users on these sites. Post relavent commments and reply to messages.

Ad Swap

An ad swap is an agreement to put someone elses ad on your site or email newsletter in exchange for them doing the same. It is pretty much a type of a joint venture. The good thing about this is that both people will benifit; You bring traffic to their website and they bring it to yours.

Article Marketing

Article marketing is another good way of getting free traffic to your website. This is done by writing articles and submiting them to article directories such as ezinearticles and articlebase. You can also post your articles to your blog or website. The key to pulling traffic to your website through this way is to put a link to your website at the end of the article saying something like, want more information like this…

Writing tons and tons of articles sounds like alot of work but it’s not that hard. You can download a free set of PLR articles (private label content) which are articles written and made available for several purchasers to buy and use. You can then use these as a base for your own articles. But don’t, and I repeat don’t just go copying and pasting PLR articles into article directories.Search engines like fresh content, and if your’e writing unique articles then they will be seen.

I have a company website and we’d like to increase our visibility on google. I know the basics on heightening web traffic but I am wondering if their are any specific recommendations or suggestions I could use to get our site higher up on a websearch.

Register your website with google via google webmaster tools. Do the same for Bing, and Yahoo. Yahoo also has a webmaster section to register on. Build a sitemap and register your sitemap to all the search engines. Post/update frequently and gain backlinks. Word your files and articles to contain your keywords you are trying to target. Google images is also very powerful so alot of pictures and dont forget the TITLE and ALT fields in the html code, this is what google reads to tell what the picture is about.

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is
to first set up a website and publish its domain name
on major search directories such as Google.com,
Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and
MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these
search directories to provide them with goods and
services. In a sense, these search directories are a
very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage
fail to contain "generic" keywords, then anyone using
such "generic" queries will not be able to discover
your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,
in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,
when observed and committed in designing of a website
with placement of various critical metatags that can
surely achieve a high search engine presence and
increase Internet traffic to your website. These
metatag strategies work well with published webpages
at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based
website, make sure to fill-in the property entries
such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing
to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can
be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the
Internet audience and their incoming setup. For
example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages
take too long to load up and therefore analog users
will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the
Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL
lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So
before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple
question, "Who’s my end user - is he on dialup or
DSL?" And if you had to choose between these two users
for maximum marketability, then select analog users
since 80% of most resident users are still analog
Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages
is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,
is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit
the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a
graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots
are unable to properly classify textual material.

Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google
and Yahoo and it begins with the "Title" metag which
should consist of no more than 65 characters separated
by commas. The "Title" should describe in generic
terms, the goods and services, followed by a location
from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state.
The placement of a domain name which is not generic
within the "Title" is not appropriate, unless your
domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the "Description" which is
usually 25-30 words to form a complete sentence which
best describes one’s goods and services.

And the very last category - "Keywords" are also
somewhat limited to 15-16 words which can be plural
and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries
which could be mistaken as "spamdexed entries" which
is defined as the loading, and submission of
repetitive words into a particular metatag category.
"Spamdexing" when discovered on a webpage and reported
to Google’s spamreport.com can result in the
elimination of your website from their search
directory.

Good luck!

How can I generate traffic to my website?

Posted by: admin   in traffic to website

I am looking for a PAID online service/website that will generate quality traffic to my site so my sales will increase. Does anyone know of any legit sites or have any expierence with any?

Thanks!

Hi there yes i have a few i use myself and they quality sites with very good alexa rankings also.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know where to get an inexpensive or even free traffic exchange website, script or template? Google has not been very friendly to me on this subject.

In google just search traffic exchange website

Is there any free method of drawing traffic to a website or blog?

Many companies advertise that upon payment of a $167 fee, they will post your blogs and generate traffic to your blog or website guaranteeing you income in excess of $ 2000.00 each and every month.

These types of advertisements sound like scams.

So, how do one generate traffic to a blog or website?

Anyone who guarantees to make your site rank in position 1 at the search engines or who guarantees you income of $XXXX.XXX is full of crap. Don’t fall for that.

The ways you drive traffic to a site is marketing. There are lots of ways to market a site online and offline.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization): You can make your site rank for keyword phrases that people looking for your type of site will be searching for. This is more of a strategic, long-term approach. In general, it will take months, if not a year or more to rank well for even moderately competitive search phrases. But EVERY site who plans to be around for a while should be thinking strategically as well as tactically.

Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, etc. You can promote your site on social media sites. But this is tricky. It CAN drive significant traffic if done correctly. You have to build a community of followers by participating in the community… basically talking about everyday mundane things, being funny, whatever… but DON’T push your product often. Some say 1 of every 100 tweets for instance should promote your company… any more than that and people see through you hard sell and defriend or unfollow you. They begin to see you as a spammer instead of someone interesting to follow.

PPC (Pay-Per-Click): You can buy ads on search engines (like the Adwords ads down the right side at Google). You bid on keywords on a per-click-basis and based on those bids (and other things like quality score) the engines will display your ad when people search for those keywords (called an impression). And if someone clicks through to your site by clicking on your ad, then you are charged what you bid (unless you have a high quality score in which case Google will lower what they charge you).

CPM: You can buy banner or text ads from ad networks. They generally charge you a fixed fee for each thousand impressions. So if you buy 10,000 impressions they will display your ad 10000 times on random sites that participate in their Ad networks.

Custom Deals: You can work out deals to have your ad displayed on various sites like the home page of Yahoo! and MSN ($$$$$$$$) or related web sites that you’ve identified as being frequented by the type of visitors you are targeting. Typically, these are based on some timeframe like a day, a month, whatever… at a fixed fee.

Off-line advertising: TV, radio, newspaper, business cards.

What you do… which combination of marketing you select… depends on your business, your product, your industry, the types of visitors you want to target. But basically it all boils down to marketing.
