Suppose a website has a LOT of people on it at the same time.

Other than how quickly I can get onto the website, would it matter if my Internet connection was dial-up speed or Broadband speed?

Not really once the request for the page is made. its just the a matter of time till its pushed to your address. But Dial Up Wow! it’s going to be slow loading because most new sites pages are large, it’s more true if you go to a social networking site like myspace. you should use a browser that turns off embedded objects in the page like flash and pictures. You can change the quality settings for pictures if you still want to view them. Try opera

It might if the website were so loaded that it had to timeshare access to the server. If it gave out access in little chunks, your download of large graphics could take longer since your not getting virtually dedicated access.
